  • Wisdom Teeth and Impacted Teeth
Impacted wisdom teeth are frequent cases seen in dental clinics. Usually lack of space in jaws prevent the tooth eruption. Mostly patients do not prefer to have any operations before having pain. Dental surgeons advice the teeth to be removed because of the following reasons:
    * The tooth that cannot take its place in dental arch is situated in an unsuitable position. There, it can cause infection, which can spread out to mouth, nose and respiratory cavities.
    * An impacted tooth can cause a cyst. This cyst can enlarge covering the entire jaw bone. It can cause decay or loss of adjacent teeth.
    * In upper jaw because of its neighbourhood to sinuses, there exists a sinus infection risk. This may be a focal infection source threathening the entire body health.
    * A bad positined wisdom tooth can also cause problem in applying fixed or removable dentures. It can also effect the success of orthodontic treatment.
  • Autogenic Tooth Transplantation
First permanent molars are usually lost at earlier stages of life. Mostly, inadequate oral hygiene is the main reason for the decay and loss of this important teeth. In those cases if an impacted or unerupted wisdom tooth exists, this tooth can be transplanted in the gap of the first molar tooth. This technique is applied successfully in our clinic.
  • Implantology
Implants are devices that replace the roots of lost teeth, supporting the crowns, bridges, dentures. Implants are usually made of titanium, a biocompatible material, and have a shape of a screw. 3-6 months period is needed for the osseointegration of implant to the bone.
After healing and osseointegration process is over, the appropriate type of restoration is applied. Implants are not only applied to one or few teeth loss, but they can also be used in totally toothless mouths. In those cases patient has a chance not to wear a removable denture. The operation has minimal risk and the results are more satisfactory for the patients.
  • Total Anesthesia and Sedation
This is an alternative treatment method for patients who have high anxiety for dental treatment, physically and mentally handicapped children, patients with limited time. To finish a long term treatment in one session is another major advantage of total anesthesia and sedation.
  • Oral Cancer

A detailed examination of oral mucosa, base of mouth, palate, tongue, and lenf nodules of head and neck have a great importance for diagnosis of oral cancer.
According to the researches, in the USA , this year 28,000 future cancer patients have been identified. 7,400 of those cases will be ended by death.
Early diagnosis and treatment are the most critical points for a long and healthy life. The following diagnosis methods will be helpfull to detect a future cancer in early stages:
    * Brush Biopsy: tissue samples are collected with the help of small brush. Cancerous or precancerous cells are searched.
    * Toluidin Blue: patient rinses the mouth with solutions that dye the precancerous or cancerous tissues blue. A positive result needs an advanced research.
